The last time Justin Bausch was on the podcast, he was leading CRM at Ryderwear, with a little side business selling art propped up in the corners of the shot. That side hustle is now Style My Wall, a seven-figure business. In this clip, he explains the turning point.

Justin was constantly busy shifting artwork on Facebook Marketplace and realised he already had everything he needed to make it a real business: CRM, paid ads, ecommerce. So he bought his own professional printer, opened a studio, built a Shopify site, all while still at Ryderwear so he wasn't putting every egg in one basket. His first hire was his nephew (saved from being a dishwasher), and in two years that one employee became 22, with seven figures in year one and two warehouses in Melbourne. He breaks down exactly why it grew so fast: there's no dominant player in online art, so he isn't fighting Kmart or Freedom, his ecommerce background let him keep everything in-house and pour the agency savings into ad spend, and print on demand meant he could add a new SKU instantly without holding stock.
