Nathan Bush: Hi, guys. Before we get into today's show, I want to share an exciting new venture that I've started up with my friend Emily Hayden. Hi. Em and I are out to solve a very specific problem. E commerce talent. As we know, 2020 has been a bumper year for E comm, but it's not slowing down anytime soon. Competition will increase, tech will continue to innovate, and customers will continue to change. But at the heart of it all, it's still good people and great teams.

Speaker B: Our goal is to connect e commerce talent to help job seekers, businesses and communities continue to grow. So if you're a job seeker looking for your next opportunity or a business owner looking for the best e commerce talent, get in touch. We're the people for E commerce talent.

Nathan Bush: Visit esweettalent.com that's e s u I t e talent.com to find out more. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Now let's get into today's episode. Welcome to the checkout. We catch up with previous guests of Add to Cart where we ask them five quick questions to understand more about them and leave you with a little extra inspiration to get through your Friday. Today's checkout features Atta Gokuldirim from Forta. Atta is the vice president of Australia and New Zealand for Forta. It's software that provides fraud protection for e commerce merchants. He has over 30 years in retail and banking experience, and it was great fun having him share some of that on add to cart. All right, question one. What is the weirdest thing you've ever bought online? Wow.

Ata Gokyildirim: This is my borderline. I don't know. I can't. I actually can't. Can I come back to you while my brain's ticking, please?

Nathan Bush: This is why you read the questions before. All right.

Ata Gokyildirim: Oh, yeah.

Nathan Bush: Question Question number two. Who is your favorite retailer?

Ata Gokyildirim: My favorite retailer for sure is a company called James Purse in America. Beautiful. Any reason why I love their online experience? I like their relevance. I like that it's nice and simple and basic. It just sort of works for me as I mature. Beautiful.

Nathan Bush: Cool. Which retail fad do you wish was history?

Ata Gokyildirim: Which retail fed was history? Sometimes buying a bike highlighter.

Nathan Bush: You're not even a retailer. All right. Can you recommend a book or a podcast that our readers or our listeners should immediately get into?

Ata Gokyildirim: Look who moved my cheese.

Nathan Bush: Nice.

Ata Gokyildirim: Yeah, I read that nearly every six months because things change, you know, like in terms of our business from when I started to where it is now. I see that everywhere. Where? Even with my kids I tell my kids like one studying commerce and the other one studying data science and I even they probably chop and change degrees so many times and I go, listen, just get used to it. Because we're just in this sort of fast paced environment that adapting to change is very important.

Nathan Bush: That's awesome. And it's a book that applies to anyone, I think, no matter where you are in life. I remember my nan actually introduced me to that book back when I was in high school. So it's a fantastic.

Ata Gokyildirim: It's a business book, it's a life book, it's a relationship book. It's a great book.

Nathan Bush: Yeah, agree and finish this sentence. The future of retail is

Ata Gokyildirim: challenging.

Nathan Bush: Nice. Very nice. Thank you very much as I really appreciate your time and what you shared.

Ata Gokyildirim: Thank you Nathan. Thank you very much. Take care all the best guys. Take care.

Nathan Bush: To hear more from Atta, jump back into episode nine where we speak with Atta about how to manage the risk of fraud versus potential false negatives which can cost your business. He also shares the most common types of fraud that he sees and what's coming from fraudsters that we really need to be on the lookout for. Thanks for listening and until next time, keep adding to cartoon.
